Hi, I’m Kait, aka @dramamamasnaps. As a former dancer and theater kid turned proud mom of a young performer, the performing arts have always been woven into the fabric of my life. Over the past few years, I’ve worn plenty of hats in the world of children’s theater — from costume mistress to stage manager — helping bring productions to life from behind the scenes. Somewhere along the way, I realized I had found another way to be part of the magic: capturing it.

These days, you’ll find me photographing theater productions, church gatherings, conferences, and pretty much anywhere people are doing something they love with people they love. You’ll also find me working with individuals and families during portrait sessions, capturing personalities, connections, milestones, and the little things that make each person and family uniquely themselves.I look for all the wonderfully messy in-between moments that make an experience truly yours.

I’m not a “look at the camera and say cheese” kind of photographer. I’d much rather blend into the background and let life unfold. I look for the entirely unscripted moments: the deep breath before walking onstage, the hug that calms your child’s nerves, the ridiculous dance moves you think no one is witnessing, The quiet moment that nobody thought to photograph — but someday, you’ll be so glad someone did.

So whether you’re performing under bright lights, gathering with your church family, celebrating a milestone, or simply spending time with the people who matter most, I’d love to be there — quietly capturing the magic while you live it.
